Flamingo is a beautiful white sand beach, which has many hotels and condominiums in its surroundings. It is quite long, and one of the favorites of Ticos. Sometimes the sea gets a little heavy, but when it is calm it is perfect to enjoy and even snorkel We find that Flamingo has one of the best sunsets in Guanacaste, and enjoying them with a cocktail at the end of the beach at Coco Loco is an experience we highly recommend. For the past couple of years we have seen that in the months of September and October some whales have ventured close to Flamingo, and have even been filmed frolicking in the waves.
